What are your opening times?

9AM – 7PM Monday to Friday

9AM – 6PM Saturday/Sunday

What type of booking is The Photocove suitable for?

It is suitable for most types of booking:

Photographers, Videographers, production companies, E-commerce, Brand Campaigns Big and Small, set design, celebrities, influencers, footballers, band shoots, music videos, photography events, workshops, Instagram and Tiktok content creators, test shoots, pop ups, and more!

Can I book Today?

Our Studios are by appointment only. We can sometimes facilitate emergency bookings inside 24 hours; these are £50PH contact us for availability.

For short notice bookings when the system is locked inside 48 hours we may still have availability at the standard rate. Please note there is a £10 fee for manual bookings. Due to high demand we suggest that you book as far in advance as possible. Contact us to discuss your options.

What does it cost to hire the Studios?

Is there free parking nearby?

Yes we have free parking on Pollard Street East, Lind Street, Cavalier Street, and Branson Street. For Photocove Customers you are free to park in the permit bays for the duration of your booking (despite it saying only 90 minutes) this has been confirmed with the council. You need to provide your full registration number on arrival to our studios.

Can we get silence to record audio for a podcast or interview?

We cannot accept podcast bookings, video interviews with sound, or other booking where sound recording is required for long periods of time. 

If recording short bursts of audio, and audio for reels please contact us to confirm we can accommodate your booking. 

Can I arrive before my booking to set up?

You can arrive 5 minutes before your booking starts. You may not enter the building earlier than this as we will be setting up for your shoot. 

All Set up and packdown time Must be inside your booking slot.

How far in advance do I need to book?

At least 48 hours. After this time the system will show as booked, we may still have space, it will cost £10 extra to do a manual booking.

Can I book outside of your opening times?

Yes this is charged at a higher rate, please contact us to discuss further.

How can i pay the remaining balance?

In most cases the full balance will have been paid. If not, Your remaining balance is due upon arrival. You can pay by Card or bank transfer.

For businesses the invoice has to be paid in full on receipt in advance of the booking day.

Please note that your booking will not commence until the full balance has been paid.

Can I rent the studios for workshops, educational purposes, a hire space or is it just photography?

Yes!  Whether you’re hosting classes, workshops, creative seminars, networking events, or exhibitions we can accommodate your event. We also rent the studio as a space so if you want to do a small exhibition, or community events etc Please contact us to arrange this type of booking.

Can we shoot art nude, or erotic content?

We support bookings including art nude, erotic content. We ask that you make us aware of this kind of shoot for safeguarding.

Do you have inhouse Photographers or videographers we can hire?

Yes we have In-house creatives including photographers and videographers.

When I shoot on the infinity cove, what are the rules of use?

Please wear shoe covers on the cove at all times unless you are the model and the shots are full length.

If you are putting equipment like tripods, chairs etc on the cove please get coverings from a member of staff to ensure the cove is not marked or scratched.

Please do not drag any items around on the cove as it will get marked and possibly damaged.

Please do not stand on the curve of the cove or touch the wall of the cove.

Children are not permitted to play on the cove or run up the curve of the cove.

No wet paint or spray paint can be used on the cove.

If using food, fresh flowers, confetti, please ask for a sheet to be put down by a member of staff more information here. 

If you are planning a cake smash please let a member of staff know before the day of the booking so we can advise you on preparations, more information here.

Please Do not attach gaffer tape, masking tape or any fixings such as screws or bolts to the cove.

We check the cove at the end of every shoot and failure to follow these rules will result in extra charges.

Can we move items around in the studio to get more creative shots?

Yes you can set up the studios however you want, we ask you not to drag items around on the floor or on the cove. For health and safety please do not remove items from the walls such as mirrors and pictures, if you require assistance please speak to one of our team members. Charges will apply for items removed and broken without our consent. Also please be careful when moving our plants around!

Is there disabled access?

We have not currently got disabled access to the studios. We have pursued this with our landlords and explained how unfair it is not to have disabled access. They are not interested in paying the money for disabled access it seems.

If you wanted to book with us and can’t because of access please email Northern Group our Landlord here to let them know the impact that this has had on you including Wellington house disabled access in the subject. It may prompt future change!

Is Wi-Fi available in the studio?

Yes, we provide complimentary Wi-Fi access with all bookings (up to 20Mbps).

Are there any food or catering options available at the studio?

We don’t have catering services, you are welcome to bring your own food and beverages to the studio. We have designated areas for breaks and refreshments
This includes tea, coffee, fruit teas, hot chocolate microwave, cutlery and a fridge with a small freezer section.
